Baghdad, Recently it has been reported that 12 missiles (12 Ballistic Missiles) were fired from Iranian territory. At the same time, this missile fell near the US consulate in Erbil, northwestern Iraq on Saturday night.

Kurdistan’s health minister said no one was injured or killed in Saturday night’s attack. A US official told Reuters on Saturday night that there were no American casualties in the missile attack.

At the same time, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi tweeted about the missile attacks, “Aggression that targeted the beloved city of Erbil and spread fear among its residents, is an attack on the safety of our people. I discussed these developments with KRG PM. Our security forces will investigate and stand firm against any threat to our people.”
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan region, Masrour Barzani, wrote on Twitter on Saturday night, “Arbeel does not bow down to cowards. I strongly condemn the terrorist attack on parts of Erbil and call upon the brave and patient people here to be patient. Follow the instructions of the security agencies. I thank you for your patience.” It is not yet clear who fired these missiles and why.
