After receiving an expiry certificate from tech giant Microsoft earlier this week, several features of Windows 11 are being loaded. It will be rectified soon. According to The Verge, some Windows 11 users have not been able to open apps like Snipping Tool, Touch Keyboard or Emoji Panel since a certificate expired on October 31.
The tech giant warned Windows 11 users about the problems earlier this week and has now rolled out an out-of-band update. It also influenced the introduction of Voice Typing and the Tips section of Windows 11. The report states that if you are running Windows 11, you should be offered the KB5008295 update, and it will be automatically installed from Windows Update.
The report said that Microsoft will address these issues after the company discovered the certificate issue earlier this week.
It is unusual for Microsoft to release out-of-band patches that are not security-related for its Windows operating system, and this is one of the first emergency-style fixes for Windows 11. Microsoft’s new Windows 11 patch comes two weeks after the company released a fix for AMD CPU performance in the OS. A bug was slowing down Ryzen processor performance by up to 15 percent in some games.
Android App Support Rolls Out for Windows 11 Insiders
Microsoft recently announced the first preview of the Android app on Windows 11. Testers with Intel, AMD and Qualcomm processors will all be able to experience the Android app on Windows 11. Android app support did not launch with the initial release of Windows 11. Now, Windows Insiders can trial Android app on Windows 11 PC. You can view notifications from the Android app notifications in Action Center or share your clipboard between the Windows app and the Android app, the company said in a statement.
According to the company, Windows 11 brings new experiences, whether users are working on a school project, collaborating on a presentation for work, building a new app or creating their next big idea.
