According to a report published in Gizmochina, Vivo has confirmed the launch of Vivo S12 series through an official teaser on December 22 at 7.30 pm (China time). However, in the teaser, the company has only teased the series. In this, no information has been given about the variants, design and specification of the series. It is being said that in all the phones of the series, the company has focused more on the selfie camera. According to the report, pre-booking for the series has also started in China. At the beginning of the year, the company had unveiled Vivo S10 and Vivo S10 Pro. Now Vivo S12 and S12 Pro will take their place.
Vivo S12 and S12 Pro are said to be the first phones from the company to come pre-installed with OriginOS Ocean UI, which was announced in China only last week. While MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset was given in S10 series, Vivo S12 series is said to have MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
Vivo S12 Pro specifications (Expected)
An official-looking render of the Vivo S12 Pro shared by a tipster on Weibo recently suggests that the Vivo S12 Pro will come with two front-facing cameras. As per the renders, the Vivo S12 Pro could come with curved edges on either side of the panel, making it the first handset in the S-series to sport a curved display.
According to the tipster, the Vivo S12 Pro will house a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 lens for the selfie camera, which will fit in the center-aligned notch at the top of the full-HD display. The second front-facing camera is said to be of 8 megapixels for ultra-wide photography. Meanwhile, another tipster known as Digital Chat Station had posted on Weibo that a 108-megapixel triple rear camera unit can be seen in the smartphone. However, no information has been given by Vivo regarding the specification of this series. But soon after the release of the teaser, the company can now unveil the specification.
