Please tell that in India, Xiaomi has lost some of its market share this year. The company’s smartphone market has seen a slight decline. For the last three years, the company has been the top smartphone seller in India.
The Indian smartphone market has recorded a 4 per cent year-on-year decline in 2020. All this happened due to supply chain and global component shortage where every company had to go through this loss during the epidemic. According to Counterpoint Research, the company lost 1 percent market share year after year in the fourth quarter. Xiaomi has a 26 percent share on the Indian smartphone market while Samsung has a 19 percent share.
Other companies named in the list include Vivo, Realme, Oppo in the top 5 list, whose market share is 15 percent, 12 percent and 10 percent. Premium smartphone maker Apple has recorded a total of 1.5 million shipments in the year 2020 which is a good growth.
