To give relief to prepaid customers going through difficult times due to the lockdown imposed due to COVID-19, Airtel said that it will offer a one-time offer of Rs 49 recharge plan for free. The company mentioned that it has 55 million low-income customers who are going through difficult times and the plan can give them benefits at the present time. The company will also give customers double benefits on their Rs 79 prepaid plan.
270 crores benefits
Overall, all customers can get benefits worth Rs 270 crores. Airtel will offer these services from the beginning of this week. The company offers some smart recharge plans and these include recharge plans of Rs 45, Rs 49 and Rs 79. Some basic connectivity options are available in all of them.
With Airtel’s Rs 45 plan being made one time free, Airtel prepaid users can get a one time recharge of Rs 49 without paying anything. The plan currently offers 100MB of data for 28 days validity with talk time of Rs 38.52. Once the 100MB data limit is exhausted, customers are charged Rs 0.50 per MB for usage of the data.
According to the company, this step has been taken for those 55 million customers, who are mainly living in rural areas. This step helps them to stay connected and get some access to important information when needed.
Let us know that before this, Reliance Jio gave a great gift for the users. According to the press release released by Reliance Jio, JioPhone users who are unable to recharge due to the epidemic, they will get 300 free minutes every month.
