Something similar happened with a 39-year-old man in Delhi when he did a Facebook Live video. Sohan Lal (name changed) was harming himself by doing a Facebook Live video.
All this Sohan was doing through Facebook Live. As soon as Facebook saw this live video, the company immediately informed the Delhi Police, after which the Delhi Police immediately went and saved Sohan’s life. On Thursday night, Sohan Lal of Dwarka was cutting his hand repeatedly. He was doing all this because he had a fight with his neighbours.
According to the news of the Hindustan Times, Sohan works in a sweet shop and has two children. He was quite broken after the death of his wife in the year 2016. In such a situation, after a quarrel with the neighbours, he decided to take this step. The senior police officer said that he was doing all this on Facebook Live.
The phone call from Facebook office
At 12:50 pm, DCP CyPAD Anvesh Roy got a call from the Facebook America office that a person is harming himself through his live video and his location is in Delhi. Soon after Cyber Prevention Awareness and Detection (CyPAD) which is the nodal cyber unit of Delhi Police took immediate action.
Delhi Police immediately retrieved the Facebook account information and phone number but the number was switched off. After this, the police immediately reached the address linked to the mobile number, after which Sohan could be saved. The police reached the spot and told that there was blood on the stairs of the house and Sohan’s condition was very bad. He had lost a lot of blood. The police immediately got Sohan admitted to AIIMS. After some time Sohan’s condition improved.
