Counterpoint has said in a report that Realme has registered a growth of 831% in the third quarter of 2021. This Chinese company has performed very well in regions like India, China and Europe. Realme has also increased the sales of 5G smartphones by 831 percent. While the rate of growth of 5G smartphones globally is 121 percent. In this respect, this is a big achievement for the company.
In a report published in Gizmochina, Varun Mishra, Director, Counterpoint, said, “Realme has a strong multi-channel strategy. The company has a large 5G portfolio spread across different price bands. This will enable the company to grow rapidly. It’s helped a lot.”
Sky Lee, CEO and Founder of Realme, said, “We aim to bring the benefits of 5G technology to at least 100 million young people around the world. We will achieve this through 5G powered smartphones.”
The report states that the company is still the world’s fifth largest Android smartphone maker. It would not be wrong to say here that the reason for the overall growth of the company has been its more focus on 5G technology. Realme has invested heavily in research and development of its 5G smartphones and is looking to expand its product line in a big way. Even though the company is still new in the smartphone market, it has achieved a market share of 15.5 percent in the second quarter of 2021, giving a tough competition to the big tech giants.
