TCL Ultra Flex foldable smartphone specifications (expected)
During MWC 2022, TCL also showed off a concept foldable smartphone. The smartphone is tentatively named Ultra Flex and can be folded in or out using a 360-degree rotating hinge. It flaunts an 8-inch PLP AMOLED display with 2,460×1,860 resolution. The display is prone to breakage, as reports suggest that it was not able to see the working display during the hands-on event. TCL hasn’t yet provided any details on how the display or hinge will work.
The Chinese tech giant has also pointed out that having a dual foldable display has its benefits. When folded inwards, it will function similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, whereas when folded outwards like the Huawei Mate X, it can act as a camera viewfinder. The hands-on device also shows an empty slot, which is speculated to contain the stylus.<!–
