Samsung has announced a contribution of Rs 37 crore in the fight against COVID-19 in India. The smartphone giant is supporting both the central and state governments, which will be able to purchase more essential medical equipment for hospitals with the help of donations. Out of the total donation amount, Samsung is giving 3 million dollars to the central government and the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The remaining $ 2 million will go towards the purchase of medical supplies, including 100 oxygen concentrators, 3,000 oxygen cylinders and one million LDS syringes.
In a statement, Samsung said that, considering the immediate needs of local administrators in India and negotiating with stake holders, it has decided to make another donation of $ 5 million. Last year, Samsung donated Rs 20 crore to support governments in the fight against COVID-19, including donations to the central government and support to the local administration in Noida. Samsung gave medical equipment to hospitals “in a preventive campaign”.

In such a situation, these syringes are 20 percent more powerful. LDS syringes can inject 1.2 million doses in exactly the same amount. Samsung is making more syringes here with the help of manufacturers.
