The price of Poco X4 Pro 5G in India is Rs 18,999. There is no doubt that this smartphone is very similar to the Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G we reviewed recently. The rear panel in the Poco phone is different and some differences have been given in the specifications. But the ratio and dimensions of the body of both the phones are the same. All ports and buttons have the same location. The charger and USB cable of both the smartphones are also the same. Even their boxes look identical, except for the print material done on them.
The Poco X4 Pro 5G weighs 205 grams, which is 3 grams more than the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. It could be because of the camera module. If seen carefully, the cameras have also been fitted in the same position in both the phones. Along with the primary camera, AI has also been printed on the same empty space as is seen in the Redmi phone.
The difference is visible in the back finish of Poco X4 Pro 5G. Apart from Poco’s signature yellow color, this phone also comes in Laser Blue and Laser Black. All have a pattern of lines as seen in laser stage lights. Lights appear to come out from both the corners when the phone is shaken. The Poco logo is given in big capital letters in the camera module. It is a brand that does not go into much design detail but it looks great in its black unit.
It has a 64 megapixel camera. By testing it in full review, we will know whether it has not been downgraded in real sense. Apart from this, you get 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2 megapixel macro camera and 16 megapixel front camera.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC has been given in the phone and 5000mAh capacity battery is available with 67W fast charging. The phone has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Stereo speakers have been given in the phone. It comes with dual 5G support but is SIM tray hybrid. For connectivity, it is equipped with Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. The device also has an infrared emitter at the top. Apart from this, 3.5mm audio jack is also available in it.
The skin of MIUI 11 based on Android 11 has been given in Poco X4 Pro 5G. It seems that Poco was looking to give the app drawer enabled by default. But other than that everything else is the same as in the first model. It is expected that Android 12 update will also be given in it.
The base variant of Poco X4 Pro 5G has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The price of the variant is Rs 18,999. Its 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant costs Rs 19,999. Apart from this, there is also an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant which comes for Rs 21,999. Poco is also offering offers and exchange bonus for the customers of some banks.
Poco was considered a completely youth-focused brand from Xiaomi. Now the company is on a new path. There are already many smartphones of Redmi Note 11 series in the market and they seem to compete with each other even at the price point. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult for you to choose a better phone from these.
It may not seem right to focus too much on the similarities found in both the smartphones, but these are the first impressions of this smartphone right now. It is very difficult to ignore these facts. We will do a full review of this device so that you can know everything about it in details. Till then stay tuned with Gadgets 360.
