Gmail is the most popular service for emails with more than one billion users, but what if your mailbox gets full? With Google Photo’s unlimited free storage offer ending this month, it is important to clean Gmail and delete all those thousands of unsolicited emails. Obviously, there would have been a lot of useless mails in Gmail which have no use.
This is because Gmail storage has to be counted in the free 15GB storage available with every Google account. This 15GB of free storage is allotted in Gmail, Google Photo, Google Drive and other Google services. The new rules will come into effect from 1 June. Therefore, if you clear your Gmail storage, you will automatically get more space for Google Photos.
how to delete mail in short cut
Open Gmail and type “has: attachment larger: 10M” in the search bar. It will show all emails with attachments of more than 10MB in size. If you want to delete larger files, you can replace ’10’ with a higher number. After the search results show by Gmail, select all the emails that you do not need and tap on delete button. After that go to the trash section and tap on the Empty Trash button.
To remove all old emails, you can type the name of the sender in the search bar. All emails will appear in your inbox. Then you can easily delete them all without reading anything.
How to Avoid the ‘Gmail Storage Full’ Problem in the Future
You have to unsubscribe all the unnecessary emails first and then delete all the old emails. If you do not want email from any website on which you have signed up, then use the ‘end subscription’ link to stop these emails. In particular, it may take a few days for the mailing list to stop sending you mail after you end the subscription.
