According to the Governor, in the message he sent to the Chief Minister, it was written – ‘Dialogue and harmony among constitutional functionaries is the essence of democracy. May it blossom with mutual respect. I have always had the highest personal respect for you. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar also said in his tweet that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had ‘read’ his message at 10.25 am on Monday.
“There has been all through highest personal regard for you from my side.
Am sure this will receive your thoughtful consideration.
Regards. 2/2″— Governor West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankhar (@jdhankhar1) January 31, 2022
Earlier in the afternoon, the Chief Minister of the state held a press conference. It told that he has ‘blocked’ Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Twitter.
Mamta Banerjee said in her statement that every morning and evening he (Governor) accuses us and tweets attacking. As if He is the only Supreme and we are bonded labourers. I can’t accept it. Today I blocked him on Twitter. The chief minister has also accused Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar of “tapping the phone” and “threatening” the state’s chief secretary and director general of police (DGP).
In the press conference, Mamta Banerjee said that we are suffering patiently for the last one year. He (Governor) has not cleared many files. He is keeping every file pending. How can he speak about policy decisions?
Mamata Banerjee also told that she has written ‘several letters’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. Why did the Prime Minister not remove him (Governor)? Pegasus is running from the Governor’s House. He is tapping the phone. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien also said on Monday that he too had ‘blocked’ the governor on Twitter.
