IT service provider company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said on Monday that the ninth season of its ‘Kodavita’ competition has registered a name in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s largest computer programming competition. 1,36,054 participants from 34 countries took part in the competition.
In TCS Kodavita 2021 competition, college students from all over the world showed their skills related to computer programming. In competition, top student programmers from all over the world take part and the winner is chosen from among them. Participants demonstrate their knowledge and coding skills to solve real-world problems in 6 hours.

According to a statement, Ben Alexander of Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey won the competition this year and is the first American to do so. He was given a cash prize of $ 10,000.

In the year 2020, the ninth edition of ‘CodeVita’ was organized and 3417 people got jobs through it. Top-3 contestants got the opportunity to join the research and innovation team of TCS. Along with this, they were also given a reward of 20-20 thousand dollars i.e. about 15 lakh rupees. Through this contest, 250 students selected in the last two years have got the opportunity to do internship with TCS.
