If the flash call feature is rolled out for Android users, then it will remain optional. WhatsApp users will have the option of 6 digit code.
Last month, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will help users in mobile number verification with ease. The name of this feature is Flash Calls, about which WABetainfo has first reported. The Flash Call feature here allows users to verify their phone number automatically. All this happens through the automatic verification method when you try to log in to WhatsApp.
But now in a new development, WABetainfo has revealed the introduction screen for the Flash Call feature. It has been shown in this that, if you use this feature, then WhatsApp will ask for permission to make and manage calls and call logs here. On this, the WABetainfo report has said that the Flash Call feature will not be rolled out for iPhone users.
Apple does not offer a public API for call history. Regarding call log access, WABetainfo said that, WhatsApp will compare the phone number of your last call history here. This feature will not be used for anything else.
If the flash call feature is rolled out for Android users, then it will remain optional. WhatsApp users will have the option of 6 digit code. Or they will also be able to use the call feature of the messaging app to confirm their number. However, when the flash call feature will be rolled out, it is not known at the moment.
The feature was first seen on Android beta version 2.21.11.7. With the help of this feature, you can avoid fraud on WhatsApp.
Let’s say that flash call is a good idea. WhatsApp on its part has also warned users to avoid fraud. That is, if you get a call from any number about OTP, then you never have to share your OTP. The fraudster will scare you and say that if you do not tell the OTP, then your account will be closed. So you don’t have to fall prey to this.
