Photo-sharing app Instagram has recently launched several new features to protect young users, in which adult users will not be able to easily harass young users. In this, teenagers will get notified about the Suspicious Behavior of Instagram Adult Users. With this, news is now coming that Facebook is working on a new version of Instagram which will be for children below 13 years.
According to BuzzFeed News, Instagram is working on a trimmed-down version of its app that can be used by children under 13. Vishal Shah, voice president of the Instagram product, wrote in an internal company post, “I am excited to announce that we have prioritized youth work for Instagram and it has been added to our H1 property list. We are building new youth pillars within the Community Product Group which will focus on two things: (a) We are enhancing our integrity and privacy work to provide a safer experience for teenagers. (B) We are developing a new version of Instagram for under 13 years so that they can use Instagram safely. ”
If you talk about now, children above 13 years of age can create an account on Instagram. The company knows that people are giving the wrong information while creating an account. But now Instagram can use Artificial Intelligence to know the correct age of the user. Instagram has given this information in its blog post recently.
Instagram has not given information about whether it will make a separate app for kids or not, but the company has definitely emphasized that it is necessary to be over 13 years of age to use this app. According to the current policy, if the user is less than 13 years, then he will have to provide information in his bio that this account is being managed on behalf of the parent.
