Hacker group ShinyHunters told Gadgets 360 that the sites owned by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) are still vulnerable. Customers have been asked not to make purchases from the company’s websites including ABFRL, Jaypore, Pantaloons.
The hacker group also claimed that it still had hidden access to the ABFRL data. Gadgets 360 was not able to independently verify the claims made by the hacker group. When asked about this, ABFRL said that it has secure access to the information of customers and employees.
In a statement to Gadgets 360, an ABFRL spokesperson said it was investigating the incident. For this the company has engaged forensic security expert. The concerned authorities have also been informed and necessary steps are being taken to nab the culprits. The company has said that it has no impact on its operations or business.
The spokesperson said that as a precautionary measure, it has reset the passwords of all the customers and has enabled OTP based authentication. More steps have also been taken to secure the information of customers and employees.
