The company wrote in a tweet that “Your fleet has received an upgrade. Now you can express yourself in conversation with stickers. On Android and iOS, you can add GIFs and Twemojis to a fleet by tapping the smiley icon. “

According to The Verge, Twitter is adding a collection of its own animated stickers and emojis. Apart from this, you can search for more stickers by typing in the search bar at the top of the screen. In this, Twitter will remove GIF from Tenor and Facebook-owned company Giphy. A similar feature is already available on other platforms such as Snapchat or Instagram.
The company launched Fleets in November 2020 for all users worldwide. Twitter said that its trials of fleets in Brazil, Italy, India and South Korea have been encouraging. The results showed that the Fleets helped people feel more comfortable engaging in conversations and Twitter saw that people talk more on the platform with the Fleets.
