Facebook Smatwatch: Facebook is working on its first smartwatch, which can be launched next summer. The smartwatch is reported to come with two displays. According to a report in The Verge, the second camera will be detachable. And users will be able to share photos and videos taken from the Watch on Facebook-owned apps such as Instagram. The report states that one camera will be for video calling, while the other can be used to record video at full HD or 1080p resolution with the help of a detachable camera.
The watch will be based on Google’s updated Wear operating system, which was announced at the I/O conference last month.
This is not the first report, in which it has been said that Facebook is developing a smartwatch. Earlier in a report by The Information, it was said that its focus will be on health and messaging features. According to the report, Facebook is working on two wireless carriers in the US, which will add LTE connectivity to the smartwatch.
facebook hardware products
Currently, Facebook has a large hardware product portal. This is its video calling device with voice assistants, which aims to compete with similar devices from Amazon and Google. Facebook launched three new portal products in 2019 and currently has a total of four products. However, these are only available in the US.
The company had also entered the smartphone segment earlier. It was the HTC phone in 2013, which did not succeed. But Facebook’s goal in hardware was clear, be it the acquisition of Oculus or the launch of Portal.

But Facebook has not got success in hardware so far. Most of his revenue comes from advertisements. With smartwatches, Facebook is entering a whole new arena and it remains to be seen how successful it manages to be.
