Battlegrounds Mobile India developer Crafton has also confirmed that it is planning to hold a special e-sport competition exclusively for Indian users.

South Korean developer Crafton said in a statement on Monday that Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed 34 million (34 million) registered users within a week of its release. The game has also been ranked first among the top free games on the Google Play Store by a South Korean video game developer.
Crafton further stated in a press note that the game has recorded a count of 16 million daily active users and 2.4 million Concurrent users. Crafton claimed that the BGMI launch party, which took place last week through its official YouTube channel, garnered nearly 5,00,000 Concurrent views on the first day. Wuyol Lim, Chief of Battlegrounds Mobile Division at Crafton, said, “We would like to thank our users in India for their support. We are committed to bring new and more entertaining content to Battleground Mobile India to bring more joy to our fans and players.”
The game was expected to become quite popular from the beginning as Crafton’s original topic PUBG Mobile also gained massive popularity in India before the ban in September 2020 due to national security reasons. According to estimates, the original PUBG Mobile game had over 180 million downloads and 33 million user base in India alone. Notably, PUBG crossed 1 billion downloads worldwide in March this year. Interestingly, Crafton has also confirmed that it is planning to hold a special e-sport competition only for Indian users.
Game not available for iOS users
Players must be at least Platinum level to participate in the tournament. The brand says that it will do its best to promote the Indian gaming industry and e-sports ecosystem. The company aims to host tournaments to expand popularity amongst the youth in India. Battlegrounds Mobile India was launched on July 2 on the Google Play Store for Android users. The game is not yet available on iOS. However, the developer is expected to work on it.
The game will be updated soon
Battleground Mobile India will also release Season 20 in the game soon. According to Crafton, with Season 20, there will be some Royal Passes and changes to the ranking system. The current season is scheduled to end on July 14 at 5:29 am. Battlegrounds Mobile India will soon get its first major update after the Android launch. According to the company, players will be able to use a new weapon called the MG3 that can hold up to 75 bullets with every reload.
