In a blog post, Crafton said that it banned 1 lakh 71 thousand 188 Battleground Mobile India accounts in two weeks. The proceedings started on 24 January and ended on 6 February. Crafton has also published a list of accounts that have been banned.
In his post, Crafton has said that Battlegrounds Mobile India will try to enforce stricter restrictions to give its users a better gaming environment. Usually, Crafton bans accounts that have downloaded the game from an unofficial source or have illegal programs installed on their device. Illegal programs mean those programs that spoil the experience of other players and try to take extra advantage in the game.
Between January 10 and January 16, Crafton banned about 50,000 accounts and between January 3 and 9, more than 70 thousand accounts were banned. Similarly, between December 27 and January 2, more than 71 thousand accounts were banned. Between 20 and 26 December, about 60,000 accounts were banned. Similarly, between December 13 and 19, 1 lakh accounts were banned. In December, Crafton said it would ban devices used to cheat the game. Earlier only accounts were banned. Banning a device means that players will no longer be able to play BGMI on that device.
