While Flipkart’s ‘The Big Billion Days’ sale will last for eight days, Amazon India’s ‘Great Indian Festival’ sale will last for about a month.
E-commerce company Amazon India will now start its festive sale ‘Great Indian Festival’ from October 3 instead of October 4. Earlier, the company had announced to start this sale from October 4. Amazon India has taken this decision in view of its biggest competitor Flipkart’s announcement of starting its ‘Festive Day Sale’ a day earlier.
Like last year, this time too the competition between the two major e-commerce companies is considered to be very tough. Before the upcoming festive season, the ‘mega sale’ of both the companies will start from October 3. While Flipkart’s ‘The Big Billion Days’ sale will last for eight days, Amazon India’s ‘Great Indian Festival’ sale will last for about a month. Amazon said the sale is dedicated to millions of small sellers, including more than 75,000 local shops in 450 cities, who offer their products to customers across the country.
An Amazon spokesperson said on Sunday, “Our biggest priority is the confidence of our customers, sellers and especially thinking about the betterment of millions of small sellers and thousands of local shopkeepers across India. We will continue to innovate for our partners, small businesses and customers as they gear up for the upcoming festive season. He said that Amazon India’s Great Sale will now start from October 3, 2021 and Amazon Prime customers will be allowed to take advantage of the sale first. The company will soon share more details in this matter.
More than 1,000 new products to be launched in Amazon Sale
The shopping festival will showcase various programs such as Amazon Launchpad, Amazon Saheli, Amazon Karigar as well as Amazon sellers products under top Indian and Global brands across categories. The festival will see more than 1,000 new product launches from top brands like Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Sony, Apple, Boat, Lenovo, HP, Asus, Fossil, Levi’s, Biba, Allen Solly, Adidas etc.
Customers will also be able to take the benefit of the sale on Flipkart and Myntra
Earlier, Flipkart had announced to organize the eighth edition of its The Big Billion Days sale from October 7 to 12. The Walmart-owned company, however, on Saturday changed the sale date to October 3, which will continue till October 10. Flipkart Group’s clothing and related products company Myntra is also organizing its ‘Big Fashion Festival’ from October 3 to 10.
