Temba Bavuma Captain of South Africa White Ball Cricket Team Temba Bavuma believes that it is not easy to be the captain of South Africa. He said that even though it is late, the timing has been very challenging for all the players involved in the setup. Wicketkeeper-batsmen Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen played for South Africa in the third and final match played at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday, 23 January of the three-match ODI series. Dussen played excellent innings of 124 and 52 runs. The team had scored 287 runs and had given a target of 288 runs to India to win.
Chasing this target, India’s strong batsman and former captain Virat Kohli scored 65 runs, Shikhar Dhawan 61, and Deepak Chahar 54 runs, which went in vain. There was a time in this match when the tail ender batsmen of the Indian team had increased the beats of South Africa. India was very close to victory. But, India’s last wicket fell and by just 4 runs, the door of victory came out of the hold of Team India.
With the win in this match, South Africa won the ODI series 3-0. South Africa’s victorious captain Temba Bavuma said in the press conference, “Look, I don’t think it is easy to be the captain of South Africa. For me, cricket needs to be the main focus among the people. It has been a challenging time for the team, especially for the management members. Everything about the team was investigated. The biggest challenge for Temba Bavuma is the discussion happening inside the changing room and putting energy to his best performance.”
