Shoaib Akhtar, popularly known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’ of Pakistan, was also seen playing in the first season of IPL.
Shoaib Akhtar used to play for Sourav Ganguly’s team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2008. Recently Shoaib has shared an anecdote related to IPL. Talking to Sportskeeda, he told that, in the first season of IPL (IPL 2008), he had made a big mistake. Because of which many people wanted to take his life.
Actually, in IPL 2008, a match was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians (KKR vs MI) in Mumbai. In this match, Shoaib Akhtar dismissed Sachin Tendulkar. Because of which people also abused him.

Shoaib Akhtar said, ‘It was my biggest mistake to get Sachin out. I got Sachin out in the very first over, which was my biggest mistake. I was fielding at fine leg, I was abused a lot by the audience. During that Ganguly told me come to mid-wicket. These people will kill you. Who told you to get Sachin out, that too in Sachin’s city Mumbai.
