All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson had his left hand examined after final weekend’s sequence towards the Texas Rangers, the Chicago White Sox introduced Tuesday.
The group anticipates updating Anderson’s standing later Tuesday.
“My understanding is he’s getting examined,” Sox supervisor Tony La Russa mentioned earlier than Tuesday’s doubleheader towards the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. “We’ll know one thing about it by the top of the primary sport.

Bally Sports/Stadium’s Russell Dorsey reported Anderson can be out 4 to 6 weeks with a torn ligament in his hand.

Anderson is slashing .301/.339/.395 with 13 doubles, six house runs, 25 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 79 video games. He’s eighth within the American League in batting common.
Leury García has crammed in at shortstop through the suspension, and the Sox recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
