Canberra: The Women’s Ashes Test cricket match between England and Australia (IND vs AUS Women’s Ashes Series) ended in a very exciting draw in the final session on the fourth and last day here on Sunday. Australian captain Meg Lanning declared her second innings at 216 for seven and set a target of 257 runs in 48 overs for England to win.
England looked to be in good shape at one point of time but in the end they scored 245 for nine and got the match drawn. England were once on the way to chase the biggest target in a women’s Test cricket match but after losing six wickets in 26 runs, they were on the verge of defeat and could barely get the match drawn.

With useful innings from Nate Sciver (58), captain Heather Knight (48), Sophia Dunkley (45), Tammy Beaumont (36) and Lauren Winfield Hills (33), England had at one point been 218 for three and were placed in the final 48. 43 runs were needed off the balls.

The Australian bowlers made a brilliant comeback to reduce the score to 244 for nine, but number 11 batsman Kate Cross played 12 of the last 13 balls to save England from defeat.
