Mumbai: The sports world led by cricketers on Sunday condoled the death of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar Passed Away and paid tribute to her, saying she will always be in people’s hearts. Usha Mangeshkar, sister of Lata (92), one of the country’s greatest music stars, died on Sunday due to multiple organ failure at a city hospital, according to doctors treating her.
Veteran batsman and former Indian captain Virat Kohli tweeted, “Extremely saddened to hear the news of Lata ji’s demise. His melodious songs have touched the hearts of crores of people across the world. Thank you for all your songs and memories. My condolences to the family and loved ones.”

The legendary singer was found positive for the corona virus and was showing mild symptoms after which she was admitted to the Intensive Care Center of Breach Candy Hospital on 8 January where Dr. Pratit Samdani and her team were treating her. . (agency)
