Mumbai, Young South African batsman Dewald Brevis said that Sachin Tendulkar has been an inspiration for him from the beginning and he would like to emulate the Indian legend to make a mark in international cricket. Brevis is called the next AB de Villiers of South Africa and he is also called ‘Baby AB’. This 18-year-old player has been taken by Mumbai Indians in their team for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2022).

Brevis told the Mumbai Indians website, “The way he (Tendulkar) played has always been an inspiration to me. My favorite of his innings is the double century in ODIs against South Africa. I remember watching that match with my brother. That was an amazing innings.”
