In an anticipated transfer months overdue, New England Revolution President Brian Bilello on Thursday appointed the membership’s technical director, Curt Onalfo, to the submit of sporting director.
Onalfo, 54, turned interim sporting director when head coach Bruce Arena, who served in each capacities, was suspended by the group on July 30 pending an MLS investigation for utilizing inappropriate language. Arena would resign a month later.
