New Delhi: Two-time Olympic champion PV Sindhu has won the women’s singles title in the Syed Modi International Badminton Tournament 2022. He defeated India’s young shuttler Malvika Bansod in the final. In this match played in Lucknow, Sindhu defeated Malvika 21-13, 21-16. The final match lasted 35 minutes.
It is noteworthy that this is the second Syed Modi BWF World Tour Super 300 event title for star shuttler Sindhu. Earlier he had won this title in 2017.

Ishaan and Tanisha win in Mix Double
Earlier, Indian pair of Ishan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto defeated compatriots T Hema Nagendra Babu and Srivedya Gurazada in straight games to clinch the mixed doubles title. Ishan and Tanisha registered a 21-16 21-12 win against the unseeded Indian pair in just 29 minutes.
