The Orioles on Thursday introduced a return of the Birdland Summer Music Series that includes postgame performances that vary from pop to nation to a basketball star turned DJ.
This 12 months’s lineup contains multiplatinum singer Andy Grammer on May 27, when the Orioles play the Texas Rangers; DJ Diesel (aka Shaquille O’Neal) on June 30, after they face the Minnesota Twins; and nation pop singer-songwriter Brett Young on Sept. 15, when the Tampa Bay Rays come to city.
The reveals might be included for baseball followers who attend the video games on these days; for an additional $30 to $35, attendees can watch performers from the sphere as an alternative of from the stands. A portion of the cash raised — $5 from each on-field move — will go towards the Orioles Charitable Foundation’s Music & Arts Education Scholarship.
Last 12 months’s Birdland Summer Music Series featured performances from Flo Rida, Smash Mouth, Dru Hill, Sisqó and The Struts.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will make a stand-alone look on the ballpark Sept. 9, changing into the third main musical act since Billy Joel held the primary live performance in Camden Yards historical past. Paul McCartney carried out there in 2022, and Joel christened the park as a live performance venue in 2019, drawing a crowd of over 40,000.
Joel returns to Baltimore alongside Stevie Nicks on Oct. 7. But the duo will carry out at a unique venue: M&T Bank Stadium.
