The Orlando Magic on Tuesday named Arnie Kander as their vp of participant efficiency and wellness.
Kander, who has greater than 24 seasons of NBA expertise, will lead the Magic’s high-performance employees, which incorporates the administration of athletic coaching providers, harm discount and rehabilitation programming, energy and conditioning, sports activities science and restoration and participant vitamin.
“We are thrilled to welcome Arnie to the Magic family,” Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman mentioned in an announcement. “Over his career, Arnie has helped define the space of player performance. His experience and expertise will be invaluable as we train and care for our players. We look forward to him leading our performance team.”
Kander changed Lindsay Winninger, who had been the Magic’s excessive efficiency director since September 2020 after becoming a member of the employees in 2019 as a bodily therapist.
Winninger resigned from her place to maneuver nearer to house.
“We appreciate everything Lindsay did in leading the performance staff,” Weltman mentioned. “She assembled a great team and they did a great job in returning our players from injury and maintaining their health for the remainder of the [2022-23] season.”
