He said, “Ramdin left his impact as soon as he stepped into world cricket. Many stories are narrated of his stupendous achievements during the 1950 tour when he teamed up with Elf Valentine to form the ‘spin twin’ pair of cricket that helped West Indies beat England on their soil for the first time.
Ramdin took 11 wickets for 152 runs in the match at Lord’s during West Indies’ first Test victory in England. West Indies won that 1950 series 3-1.(Agency)
