Recently, in an interview, Gautam Gambhir was requested about his opinions on ‘Dream11’ and different fantasy league advertising apps. The former Indian opener made it clear about his stance on the difficulty, saying that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ought to resolve collectively on the subject.

Additionally, he mentioned that if BCCI’s president is himself part of these sort of commercials, then, different gamers can’t be requested to draw back from it. “In the IPL, most of the endorsements and sponsorships are from fantasy league games such as Dream11. It should be a collective decision from the BCCI whether we should allow this to happen or not,” Gambhir was quoted saying within the interview.
“If the BCCI president is doing it, you can’t expect other players not to do it. If he says that no one should be allowed to do it, I think everyone should follow that … It has to come from the top. Either we should ban this completely in India. It can’t be state-wise. And no one should be allowed to endorse that,” Gambhir mentioned.

Fantasy gaming platforms’ progress
Over the previous few years, fantasy gaming platforms have skilled great progress in India. These platforms even fund a lot of cricket competitions, together with franchise leauges and worldwide competitions.
