Celtics star Jaylen Brown was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday after main Boston to an unbeaten stretch.
Brown obtained the distinction for the primary time this season and third time in his profession. He averaged 31.7 factors, 8.3 rebounds and three.7 assists per recreation throughout a 3-0 week for the Celtics during which they dominated the Kings, Pacers and Spurs. On Sunday, Brown had 41 factors – his third 40-point recreation of the season – and 13 rebounds within the Celtics’ 44-point rout of San Antonio, during which they had been lacking Jayson Tatum.
Brown’s recognition comes throughout a terrific stretch for the two-time All-Star, who’s averaging 32.1 factors per recreation over his final seven and is constant to make a powerful case to be named to an All-NBA group for the primary time in his profession.
“He’s the best shooting guard in the league,” Malcolm Brogdon stated after Sunday’s win. “He’ll be All-NBA, he’ll make one of the teams this year. His game really speaks for itself. When J.T. is out, he’s the No. 1 option. He’s showing that he can be that. He’s put in the work, he’s evolved. Since we came in the league together, he’s evolved and taken giant steps forward every year, and he’s playing at an extremely high level.”
Brown is the third Celtics participant to be named an Eastern Conference Player of the Week this season as he joined Tatum and Derrick White.
