Amid uncertainty over his future as Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick stated Monday morning that he’s nonetheless “heavily invested” within the group.
Belichick met with the media through video convention name on Monday morning and provided in his opening assertion that he’s “under contract” with the Patriots and plans to do what he at all times does.
“Every day I come in, work as hard as I can to help the team in whatever way I can. That’s what I’m going to continue to do. Today was kind of the wrap-up day with the players. We’ll have a meeting with them and then go from there. As far as any decisions or direction or anything like that for next year, it’s way too early for that.”
Belichick stated he’ll meet with proprietor Robert Kraft however didn’t disclose when that assembly can be. He stated it may even be a sequence of conferences.
The longtime head coach was requested if he can be keen to relinquish personnel management to remain on as head coach.
“Look, I’m for whatever collectively we decide as an organization is the best thing to help our football team. And I have multiple roles in that. And I rely on a lot of people to help me in those responsibilities. Someone has to have the final say. I rely on a lot of other people to help. Whatever that process is, I’m only part of it.”
Belichick wouldn’t reply whether or not he can be open to teaching one other workforce, saying that he wasn’t going to get into “hypothetical situations.” He did reply when requested if it might shock him if Kraft determined to transferring in a special path at head coach would shock him.
“I’m going to focus on what I can control and focus on, and that’s my work ethic and my effort to do what I can to help the Patriots organization, which I’m heavily invested in,” Belichick stated.
