The first version of the most-talked girls’s IPL is about to be hosted in March 2023. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is leaving no stone unturned to make the event an enormous success.
Reports say that BCCI may have 5 treams within the inaugural version and the bottom value for every franchise has been saved as Rs 400 crore.
Notably the worth of the most costly franchise that was offered again in 2007-08 throughout males’s IPL was – Mumbai Indians at USD 111.9m (approx. Rs 446 cr) at Rs 40 / greenback.
“To have a well balance of domestic & international players and to have competitive teams, it has been tentatively decided to have five teams for WIPL. Each team can comprise maximum of eighteen players where no team can have more than six overseas players,” stated BCCI supply.

“The winning franchise will pay the ownership fees to the BCCI over a period of five years in equal instalments and continue to own the property for perpetuity, like in the men’s IPL,” supply additional added.
Women’s IPL was accepted by the General Body of Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India (BCCI) on October 18 this 12 months on the 91st Annual General Meeting in Mumbai.
