Batting first, Australia had given a target of 305 runs to West Indies. In response, the West Indies team was reduced to just 148 runs. At the same time, the second semi-final match of the Women’s World Cup is to be played between England and South Africa on 31 March. Whereas the final of the World Cup will be played in Christchurch on 3 April.

Brilliant batting of Australia
Australia’s batting was excellent. Due to the excellent performance of the batsmen, the team was able to set a mountain-like target in front of the West Indies. However, the match got delayed due to rain, after which the match was reduced to 45 overs. After which West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first. But, the Australian team got off to an aggressive start and the team’s first wicket fell on a partnership of 216 runs in 32.4 overs.
