In Wednesday’s trading session, the brakes have been put on the opening rally of the Indian stock market. At 12.38 pm, the BSE Sensex is seen trading at 52492 points with a fall of 96 points. On the other hand, the Nifty of NSE is also recording a decline. Nifty 50 has come down by 26 points to the level of 15746.
Earlier, there was a bullish trend in the early trading of the market on Wednesday. Leading stock index Sensex climbed over 100 points in early trade on Wednesday, led by gains in big stocks like Infosys, HUL and Maruti amid a positive trend in global stock markets.

Talking about the losers, there are companies like Wipro, Shree Cement, Adani Port, Kotak Mahindra and TCS. Adani Port is seen trading at the level of 734 with a fall of 1.14 percent.

During this, the 30-share BSE index was trading 145.45 points or 0.28 percent higher at 52,734.16. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 49.70 points or 0.32 per cent to 15,822.45. IndusInd Bank was the biggest gainer of one percent in the Sensex. Apart from this, Maruti, Titan, Tata Steel, HUL and Infosys were also trading with gains. On the other hand Kotak Bank, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cement and HCL Tech were in the red.
FII selling
In the previous session, the Sensex closed 14.25 points or 0.03 per cent higher at 52,588.71, and the Nifty ended 26.25 points or 0.17 per cent higher at 15,772.75. According to provisional data of the stock market, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,027.94 crore on a gross basis on Tuesday. In Asian markets, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo were trading with gains in mid-session deals. Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.60 per cent higher at $75.26 per barrel.
