Best Defense IPO: Investors have made record bids in Paras Defense’s IPO. This is the first time that such a bid has been made for an issue. The issue of the company was subscribed 304.26 times. The demand for this IPO can be gauged from the fact that it was fully subscribed within minutes of the issue opening on September 21.
The bids are for 217.26 crore equity shares in lieu of 71.40 lakh shares of the company. According to the company’s upper price band of Rs 175, bids of Rs 38,000 crore have been received. The reserve portion for retail investors has attracted 112.81 times the bid. Whereas Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs or HNIs) have bid 927.70 times their share. The reserve portion for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) has subscribed 169.65 times.
What is Gray Market Premium?
The premium for unlisted shares of Paras Defense is running at Rs 250 in the gray market. In such a situation, all eyes are now on its listing. The issue price of the company was Rs 165-175. Accordingly, Paras Defense is trading at Rs 450 (175 + 250) in the gray market.
