Popular company Patanjali is going to launch its IPO in the market soon. For this, most contact is being made from investors to promoters. Investors are also eagerly waiting for this, but Baba Ramdev is planning something else regarding Patanjali’s IPO. Recently, he said in an interview that Patanjali company’s IPO will not come this year, but a decision can be taken in this regard by the end of this financial year.
Baba Ramdev said in an interview to ET Markets that people will have to wait a bit for Patanjali’s IPO. At this time he is focusing on Ruchi Soya. His plan is to turn the company into a big FFCG company. Nowadays he is meeting various institutional investors in connection with the follow-on public offer (FPO) of Ruchi Soya. Investors are showing good interest in the issue of Ruchi Soya. Based on this the price will be decided.
It is known that last month Ruchi Soya had bought Patanjali’s biscuits and noodles unit for Rs 60 crore. Ramdev said that he will ensure that Patanjali and Ruchi Soya offer separate products and there is no overlap. In the financial year 2021, Ramdev’s Patanjali did a business of more than Rs 30,000 crore. Out of this, Ruchi Soya contributed Rs 16,318 crore to the sales. Sales in FY 2020 stood at Rs 25,000 crore, of which Rs 13,117 crore was contributed by Ruchi Soya.
Patanjali had acquired the bankrupt company known for its Nutrella Soya Chunks in July 2019 for Rs 4,350 crore. Later on January 27, 2020, the shares of Ruchi Soya were re-listed on the stock exchanges at around Rs 17 per share. Today, even though the stock is down from its 52-week high of Rs 1,377, it is 6,476 per cent higher than its relative price.
