Nagpur. On Wednesday afternoon, panic spread among property holders in some areas of Nehrunagar and Dharampeth zone when the Enforcement Department’s squad reached with force and bulldozers for action. It is noteworthy that after hearing a public interest litigation, the High Court had ordered the illegal construction work and removal of illegal huts along the Nag river and different drains connecting it and to submit the report after the action. Following these orders of the High Court, action was started from Wednesday.
As soon as the squad reached near Kharbi Road under Nehrunagar zone, a crowd of people gathered. Many property holders have done illegal construction work adjacent to the drain. The squad removed unauthorized constructions of Naresh Dekate’s Shakti Hardware near Kharbi Road, Ramesh Mundle, Sunil Kunjarkar, Jhiur Moharkar and Pradeep Nakhate on Gadgenagar Ring Road. Teams under the guidance of Enforcement Department Head Ashok Patil, Enforcement Inspector Sanjay Kamble took part in the action.
Action in Kachipura stirred up
While a squad of Enforcement Department took action in Nehrunagar zone, the other squad knocked in Kachipura under Dharampeth zone. As soon as the squad arrived, there was panic among the property holders. The squad initiated action to demolish unauthorized constructions of Sunil Khandare, Krishna Sitaram Tygale and Vikrant Gajbhiye. Similarly, bulldozers were also run on illegal constructions done by Bharat Lawns. It is said that action was taken against illegal constructions on the banks of Nag river, Yellow river and its associated drains.
