Chandur Market: Minister of State Bacchu Kadu was sentenced on Friday to two months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25,000 by the Chandur Bazar Court for hiding assets in the manifesto while filing nomination for the 2014 assembly elections. Bacchu Kadu had been accused by former councilor Gopal Tiramare of hiding his flat in Mumbai in the manifesto. Whose complaint he had lodged on 27 December 2017 at Asegaon Purna police station in Tehsil. On the basis of which the then Inspector of Police Ajay Akhre, after registering a case under section 125, investigated and presented a 237-page charge sheet in the court. Since then till now this matter was going on in Chandur Bazar Court.
The matter was heard on Friday. In which Judge LC Wadikar convicted Minister of State Bacchu Kadu and sentenced him to two months’ jail and 25 thousand rupees fine under 125 (a) public representative.

After the sentencing, the amount of fine was paid by Bacchu Kadu and the application for bail was filed. Which was accepted by the court and granted him bail. Along with this, 30 days time has been given to appeal in the higher court. In this case, Mahesh Deshmukh, AB Kale argued on behalf of Minister of State Bacchu Kadu and Public Prosecutor Vinod Wankhede argued on behalf of the government. At this time, supporters of Bacchu Kadu were present in large numbers in the court.
