Amravati. There are only two months left for the term of the existing members of the Zilla Parishad to end. Accordingly, the election process was to start by now. But the election has not been announced yet. Due to which after 60 days the work of mini ministry goes in the hands of the administrator. Or the election is announced. Everyone’s attention has been drawn towards this. The tenure of the current Zilla Parishad is till March 20. Now only two months are left for its completion.
elections cannot be held on time
By the way, the general elections of the JIP are expected to be held in February. But till now the composition of the constituency along with the number of members as per the circle has not been updated. There was discussion in the political field that the number of members in the Zilla Parishad would increase and some new mandals would be included. But in this regard also the administration has not received any letter from the State Election Commission yet.
The state government has also not taken any decision in this matter yet. This has created confusion regarding the elections. It is not possible to complete the election process in two months. If elections are not held on time, then after the end of the term of the present executive, the district council will be ruled by the administrator till the elections are held.
Incorporation of 10 Panchayat Samitis
The tenure of 10 out of 14 Panchayat Samitis in the district is also ending on March 13. Chikhaldara, Chandur Bazar, Morshi, Varud, Amravati, Achalpur, Anjangaon Surji, Daryapur, Bhatkuli and Nandgaon Khandeshwar are included in the expiring Panchayat Samitis. The State Election Commission has not yet received any information regarding the elections of these ten Panchayat Samitis. That’s why there are signs of administrative rule on these too.
