New Delhi: Omicron is continuously spreading its feet in the country. Delhi-Maharashtra is at the top in the case of Omicron cases. In such a situation, before the New Year, the Delhi government has taken a big decision to prevent the increasing Coronavirus Updates and its new variant Omicron.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced on Tuesday that the government in the capital has decided to implement the ‘Graded Response Action Plan’ (GRAP) i.e. Yellow Alert in Delhi. . Under which many restrictions will be implemented in Delhi. After the issue of Yellow Alert in Delhi, now Night Curfew will be applicable from 10 pm to 5 am.

Restrictions will now be imposed in Delhi under GRAP. Under the ‘Yellow’ alert, measures like imposition of night curfew, closure of schools-colleges, opening of non-essential goods shops on an odd-even basis and halving the seating capacity of passengers in metro trains and public transport buses. Let us tell you that cinema halls and gyms will remain closed in Delhi. Spas, multiplexes, banquet halls, auditoriums and sports complexes will be closed with immediate effect.

At the same time, shops in the mall will operate on an odd-even basis. Apart from this, Delhi Metro and buses will run with 50% capacity, that is, standing passengers will not be allowed to travel in them. The Chief Minister, after reviewing the COVID situation in a high-level meeting, said that the cases of infection are increasing very fast in Delhi but there is no need to panic as most of the people have mild symptoms of the disease.

The ‘Yellow’ alert is issued when the COVID infection rate remains more than 0.5 percent for two consecutive days. The infection rate in Delhi is more than 0.5 percent for the last two days. Kejriwal said that it is unfortunate that people are going to markets and malls without wearing masks and appealed to the people to follow the appropriate COVID behaviour.

He said that the cases of infection are increasing in Delhi but the use of medical oxygen has not increased and the demand for beds or ICU beds in hospitals has not increased which means that most of the people are being treated at home. He said the list of restrictions under the ‘yellow’ alert would be made public later.
