Weather Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Thursday that a low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal and it is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm early next week, causing very heavy rainfall in some areas. There is a possibility of heavy rain. Meanwhile, the IMD said that in the meantime, there is a possibility of severe heatwave in Rajasthan and many other states including Jammu, Himachal and Gujarat.
