Light to moderate rain is very likely to occur over several districts of Tamil Nadu and at some places over Puducherry during the next three hours. Chennai’s Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) has given this information on its Twitter handle.
RMC said in a tweet, “Light to moderate rain with thundershowers very likely during next three hours at one or two places in Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Pudukottai districts of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal area of Puducherry.” . “

Meteorological Department warned of strong wind in these places
March 5- Squally wind speed reaching 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph will be observed over and off southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mannar and north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts till evening.
March 6 By evening, the winds in these areas will gradually reduce to a speed of 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph. Later, it can further reduce to a speed of 45-55 kmph to 65 kmph.
7 March During this time, these winds will reduce to a speed of 35-45 kmph to 55 kmph in these areas.
