Due to the acute shortage of water, thousands of illegal mineral water shops are flourishing in the area. In such a situation, now the water mafia doing the business of bottled water has increased the price of water. Earlier, 20 liter bottles, which were available for Rs 20 to 30, are now being sold for Rs 40 to 50. Due to which the financial budget of the citizens is getting spoiled. Normally only 900 rupees had to be spent on water, but now citizens have to spend 1200 to 1500 rupees for this.
Water supply due to low pressure in these areas
The areas of Virar East are Kargil Nagar, Nagindas Pada, Sriprastha, Laxmi Nagar, Shriram Nagar, Santosh Bhuvan, Taki Road, Moregaon, Jijai Nagar, Pragati Nagar, Bilalpada, Achole, Valiev, Jeevdani Pada, Samel Pada, Tulinj, Radhanagar, Diwanman, Sativali, Juchandra, Kaman, Chinchoti areas have large-scale sit-in walks.
