Dhoni bhai gave me the best performance.
Chennai, Former India batsman Ambati Rayudu said that he wants to play for at least the next three years and is preparing for the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 36-year-old batsman had said goodbye to all forms of cricket in July 2019 after not being selected in the ODI World Cup team but changed the decision after two months.
Rayudu, who recently played for Andhra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, told PTI, “As long as I am in form and fit, I want to keep playing. I am preparing for the next session which is of three years. I am working very hard on my fitness.” He said, “I recently played the Vijay Hazare Trophy in which I played five ODIs in six days. I am fit and hope to be like this for the next three years.”

He said, “It was disappointing not to make it to the 2019 World Cup squad. My return was dedicated to Chennai Super Kings and I would be grateful for the way they helped me through that period.” He said, “The association with CSK was special. We have won two IPLs so far and played one final. The 2018 season was very special in which CSK came back and we won the IPL. Dhoni bhai gave me the best performance. He has an influence not only on me but on every player and he brings out the best out of everyone.”
Rayudu said, “This is the reason why he has been the best captain of India. I would like to play for CSK again when given a chance. As of now I have no idea but hopefully CSK will give me a chance again.” CSK have retained Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali in the squad ahead of the mega auction. (agency)
