Elections were held in the first phase on December 21 for these six Nagar Panchayats of the district namely Maregaon, Mahagaon, Kalamb, Ralegaon, Babhulgaon and Jhari Jamani. Meanwhile, under the court order of 15 December 2021, the election of 18 places in 5 Nagar Panchayats of OBC category was postponed. Except for the OBC category, elections were held in all the places.
Unreserved the place of OBC category and ordered to take elections from the open category at that place. After that the program to leave the reservation of 18 places was announced. At the same time, after the elections in 6 Nagar Panchayats of the first phase, now the direct voting is going to be held on January 18 for the 18 places canceled by the directions of the Supreme Court. And after the first and second phase of voting, the results of all the places are going to be declared on January 19.
