A woman wearing a burqa hurled a bomb at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in Sopore town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday. No injuries have been reported so far. Who was this woman and what was her motive, it is currently being investigated. This incident was captured in CCTV. According to the report, it was a petrol bomb.
The video of this incident has been shared by CRPF. It can be clearly seen in the video that a woman stops in front of the CRPF bunker, which was carrying a bag. Taking the opportunity, the woman took out a bomb from the bag and threw it towards the CRPF bunker.
The petrol bomb exploded in the woman’s hand. The woman was wearing a mask. There was chaos after the bombing. Later it can be seen that the security personnel are pouring water to douse the fire. The woman immediately fled from the spot.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said the woman who threw a petrol bomb at a CRPF bunker in Sopore has been identified and will be arrested soon. He said that no one was injured in the attack.
Two Lashkar terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter
Meanwhile, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter by security forces in Srinagar. One of the terrorists killed in the encounter, Rais Ahmed Bhat, was earlier a journalist and had joined the terror outfit in August last year, police said on Wednesday.
The encounter took place during an anti-militancy operation by the security forces following information that terrorists were hiding in the Rainawari area of old Srinagar, police said. He said that two Lashkar terrorists have been killed in the encounter that started when terrorists hiding in the area opened fire on the security forces.
The two terrorists killed in the encounter have been identified as Rais Ahmed Bhat and Hilal Ahmed Raha, residents of Bijbehara in Anantnag, he said. Raees used to run an online news portal ‘Valley News Service’ in Anantnag. Police tweeted that Raees had joined the terrorist group in August last year. Security forces have killed 13 terrorists in 9 encounters in Kashmir this month.
